I quit my job a few months ago, but not before collecting my end of year bonus. My new job is significantly closer , so I’ve had the opportunity to put my commute miles on my bicycles. I also decided, after some back and forth, to get rid of the practical-to-a-fault Fit, spend some of that bonus check, and get something that has a little more...how you say...oomph. I signed the paperwork today, and am picking up the new car Monday.
I am very, very excited.

Welcome to the family! The interiors rattle a bit more and the overall fit an finish is a bit lower, but I think we’re back up to more ST owners than GTI owners after some....unfortunate incidents.

After many years in a WRX, I like to think my rattle tolerance is pretty high. And at least on the test drive, I was surprised at how much less cheap it looked and felt than the Fit (a 2013 Fit, but still).

Too bad there’s no hi-power performance model Fit :(
Going from a Fit to a Fist :p

Ye’, it’s a good car, but the Fit, Jazz to us, only went up to Sport. 1.5 i-VTEC 128bhp,so nothing too sporty,
unlike the Civic
306bhp.

Welcome to the fold. Modding or leaving it alone?

I got a nice CPO car with a solid warranty, so I’m going to try and leave it alone for at least the rest of 2019? Then it’ll probably be wheels, brakes, MR215, and maybe Bilsteins. In other words, less modded than my WRX.

I said for years if Honda made a Fit SI I’d buy one new. Their loss.

Hmm, I can tell you from experience that the MP215 is alot of money for an airbox and a locked access port. If you’re looking for a turnkey package you’re better off saving up and going full MR230. I f you just want to do a “ stage 1" and want to stick with mountune this is a better deal:

On the other hand, my power train warranty is good until 2023, and preserving it is worth more than the $400 price difference.
